Pretence Is What Pretenders Excel At…
Satan is constantly standing against all who have experienced the new birth. Immediately after a person has heard the truth concerning God’s plan of salvation and has responded to it in the way that God requires which is absolute faith in Christ alone, Satan attacks, using the arsenal of lies he has instilled in society over the years.
2 Timothy 2:15 God never intended the truth of the gospel of Christ to be debated; He intended it to be believed! 2 Cor 13:8
Many today claim to have had the New-Birth Experience; but few actually have. The majority who occupy the pews on Sunday morning are pretenders! 2 John 9-11
The Showdown Is Here!
Our time (this era in which we are presently) has been selected for yet another pitting of absolute truth against absolute darkness.
Matthew 24:21-22 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Scoffers will mock that statement, never considering for a moment that it might be true.
2 Peter 3:3-7 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
True Believers, take heed and prepare yourselves well for that “contest.”
Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Your faith (belief in the Truth, Jesus Christ) will be all that will sustain you. Romans 11:20 because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear (have reverence).
If you do not fully understand the New Testament Gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed through Apostle Paul by the Holy Ghost and believe it, you will not stand.
Romans 5:2 By Whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand,and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
